Thanksgiving Blues

A month later and I have gained weight!

Not a lot of time to write. I just wanted to record that I am now 169 lbs! Gained weight since I last posted. However, I don't know if it's fat because I've doing push-ups, crunches, and curls almost every night. Happy holidays to whoever reads this!

I'm bummed because I bought this pull-up bar that goes in the door frame, but all my door frames are too weak to support me. I know, I'm fat right? So I've been doing 10 reps of 35lbs per arm using an old dumbbell I found instead. I try and find time in the day to do that and push-ups anyway.

Well... I've kept constant at 168 for a week. I lucked out because I haven't been eating all that great, hence the not posting in a while. So I'll try and be better about posting again.

It's easier if I post just what I've eaten because Rachael isn't around usually when I post. I'll include her if I get the chance. So far today I've eaten:

So good news! I weigh myself every Thurs, so from last Thurs, I lost 2 lbs! Now I'm 168! I guess that's 3.5 lbs a week for me! Wow that's a lot of sentences ending with an exclamation. I hate dieting so I have no idea what's going to happen when I reach my goal weight at 165. Maybe I'll treat myslef to a good steak and some Cold Stone with 6 mix-ins! Oh man... I'm so hungry right now. All I can think about is food. Okay, better go.

I was feeling good all day up until about 30 mins after eating Chipotle. My blood sugar went all crazy! It couldn't handle the intense amount of calories in one meal. Not to mention my intestines freaking out as the incredibly hot lava (salsa) scorched it's slimy lining! So needless to say, I sang Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire this morning on the pot... What? TMI? Oh well, call it a warning to all you Chipotle hot salsa Tabasco eating lovers!

So Rach worked it out and I'm only allowed 29 points. Bummer. I've found that I'm constantly hungry on this diet. It feels like my stomach still has a lot of shrinking to do. Which is good.

Rachaels tip: To put yourself on the maintenance plan (meaning that you're no longer going to lose weight, but not gaining any either) you simply give yourself 3 more points each day. The average person that estimates his/her points will end up going over by 3 points. So what does this tell you? Okay, I'll conclude it for you... When you estimate your points each day you've pretty much put yourself on the maintenance plan, which means you won't lose any weight. So always be careful and calculate what you're eating!
